LA Trade Tech College – Culinary Arts Facility
AVA’s Role: Anil Verma Associates, Inc. (AVA) served as project coordinator for this bond-funded LATTC facility, coordinating programming and design services in support of the College’s culinary arts and hospitality programs.
Description: The 50,000-square-foot, two-story Culinary Arts Facility, topped by a mechanical rooftop penthouse, houses specialized kitchens, assembly areas, and student gathering spaces serving the Culinary Arts Department and the wider campus. Kitchen equipment was supplied and installed by the contractor.
On the ground floor, large exterior sliding-glass doors open the assembly area to outdoor campus activities, alongside student gathering space, a loading dock, and adjacent service and secure storage areas.
A rooftop solar photovoltaic system ties into the existing campus array. Associated improvements include a one-story restroom building near the Art and Culinary Arts Building and an electrical duct bank serving both facilities.
