Goleta Train Depot Amtrak Station in Santa Barbara County
Project Overview
The Goleta Train Depot serves the existing Amtrak platform along the LOSSAN corridor, combining a new depot building, parking, and multimodal accommodations for buses, bicycles, and vanpools.
The depot includes a café, ticketing area, waiting room, community space, and bicycle and baggage storage, and roadway improvements along South La Patera Lane add bike lanes, sidewalks, and sustainable landscaping. Public art is integrated into the depot’s interior and exterior spaces.
AVA Services
As prime consultant and project manager, Anil Verma Associates, Inc. (AVA) led the depot from conceptual design through construction documentation — covering station architecture, lighting, signage, landscape design, and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering.
AVA coordinated the geotechnical, structural, and civil engineering subconsultants and worked with project stakeholders, including the LOSSAN corridor, carrying the project through CEQA compliance while integrating sustainable, environmentally conscious design throughout.
