About Anil Verma

Anil Verma, founder and principal architect, is a fellow of the American Institute of Architects (FAIA) and an internationally recognized expert in transit systems design with over 39 years of experience in the industry. He has played a pivotal role in the development of more than 600 transit stations in the U.S., Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, Thailand, and India.

Equipped with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree from Harvard university, with a background in both architecture, urban design, and landscape architecture, Anil’s career began with his work on the Los Angeles Downtown People Mover Project in 1980 and LA’s Metro’s $3.2 billion Red Line Subway beginning in 1982. Since then, his passion for transit has driven the success of Anil Verma Associates, Inc., which has grown into a respected leader in the industry. His expertise includes everything from tunnel ventilation systems to underground & aerial station structures, operation control structures, maintenance facilities and transit corridors has helped reshape cities and revitalize urban neighborhoods. Anil’s designs focus on cost-efficiency, community integration, and technical excellence, and his leadership has garnered him numerous awards and international recognition.
